Explanation : this mnemonic helps you to remember the families to which the hepatitis viruses A , B , C, D , E belong . this is important because it is asked in many medical post graduation entrance examinations .

HEPATITIS A : picorna virus -------- physically

HEPATITIS B : hepadna virus -------- handicapped

HEPATITIS C : flavi virus -------- fellow

HEPATITIS D : defective virus ------- died

HEPATITIS E : calci virus --------- cycling

one point worth remembering is that the only DNA virus among all hepatitis viruses is the hepatitis B virus.
