My Colleague - Mycobacteria


Ricky - Rickettsia


Brushed - Brucella


His - Histoplasma


2Lips - Listeria and Legionella


Very - Viruses


Calmly - Chlamydia .


P.S - An important point to be noted here is that Rickettsia and Chlamydia are obligate intracellular organisms

9 - Facial nerve branches mnemonic

Explanation : This mnemonic explains the branches of facial nerve in a sequence . The first three words indicate the branches in the facial canal . the next three words indicate the branches of the facial nerve before exiting the stylomastoid foramen. the rest of the words indicate the branches after exiting the stylomastoid foramen .

1. Branches in the facial ( fallopian ) canal :

GOLD - greater petrosal nerve

CAN - chordatympani nerve

NEVER - nerve to stapedius

2. Branches of the facial nerve before exiting the stylomastoid foramen :

SINK - stylohyoid nerve

PEOPLE - posterior auricular nerve

DON'T - digastric ( nerve to posterior belly of digastric )

3. Branches of the facial nerve after exiting the stylomastoid foramen :

BELIEVE - buccal nerve

THAT - temporal nerve

COPPER - cervical branch

ZINC - zygomatic branch

MELT - mandibular branch
